Miranda Kerr slammed over 'dangerous' coronavirus advice

Australian supermodel and influencer Miranda Kerr has been slammed for sharing a controversial 'Virus Protection' guide in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the move being labelled "dangerous" and "irresponsible" by some of her followers.

Kerr shared the guide with her 12.2 million Instagram followers along with the caption: "Great info to help people at this time."

The guide is written by 'medical medium' Anthony William who has no medical qualifications whatsoever and who has previously stated that celery juice is the "greatest healing tonic of all time".

His medical advice and theories come from "communications with the gods" according to the man himself, and it seems Kerr has bought into his controversial views in lieu of real health advice aimed at slowing the spread of the deadly virus.

Kerr's post was shared two days ago and it seems the Australian supermodel is standing by the advice, ignoring calls by her own followers to remove the post, including one from Dr Joshua Wolrich who writes: "ABSOLUTELY NOT. Do better with your influence.

"This 'virus protection' guide is full of unscientific nonsense that has ZERO medical validity.

"Celery juice doesn't fight viral infections, nor does any of the rest of the advice in this guide.

"Open your eyes people. Misinformation is dangerous. Stop spreading it."

Another follower writes: "Worst advise [sic] ever, completely tone deaf to the severity of the situation. Unsafe information."

One Instagram follower says: "Please don't share information when you're not qualified to do so (especially from someone who REALLY isn't qualified to do so).

"The information you're sharing isn't in any way valid and to anyone who reads this, IT WILL NOT PROTECT YOU FROM THE VIRUS.

"Please take it down."

She rarely shares health advice with her Instagram followers, choosing instead to post photos of handbags and holidays and celebrity events she has attended. However it seems for the so-called 'medical medium' she makes an exception.

In late January, Kerr shared a photo with the man, along with the caption: "@medicalmedium opened my eyes to why green juice is so powerful - grab a celery juice today to feel the benefits."
