This video of Kate Middleton starring in a school play aged 13 is strangely prophetic

Long before she became the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton was a precocious schoolgirl trying her hand at acting.
 
During her time at St Andrew's School in Buckhold, Kate regularly starred in productions - and one of her roles turned out to be bizarrely prophetic.
 
A video from 1995 shows the then-13-year-old treading the boards as a maiden in ‘Murder in the Red Barn’, a play written by one of her teachers.

The answer? Yes - to London.

Prince William is undeniably a rich gentleman, said to be worth roughly AU$53 million - a figure that will rise when his father Prince Charles eventually ascends the throne.
 
As we all know, the prince did indeed meet and fall in love with Kate when they were both students at Scotland’s University of St Andrews.

The couple, whose third child is due in April, now live at Kensington Palace, which is in - yep, you got it - London.

However, these weren’t the only details of of 13-year-old Kate’s on-stage experiences that proved more than a little spooky.
 
In a later scene, the predicted “rich gentleman” turns out to be a blond, wealthy landowner called William - honestly, you couldn’t make this up - who promptly proposes to Kate.

“Yes, oh yes, dear William.”
 
The video of Kate in the school play has resurfaced this week, after first emerging in the lead up to the Royal Wedding in 2011.

At the time, ABC News spoke to her co-star Kinsley Glover about being the first ‘William’ to pop the question to Kate Middleton.

Glover also described his former schoolmate as “very nice”, adding that Kate “never had a bad word to say about anybody”.

So, while Meghan Markle is the first Hollywood star to marry into the British Royal Family, she certainly isn't the only thespian in its ranks.
 
Catherine probably doesn’t get much chance to flex her acting muscle these days, but just quietly, we reckon she’d be a gun at the round of Charades the royals play every Christmas evening.
