Size 16 Sports Illustrated model Hunter McGrady shuts down trolls

Model Hunter McGrady's body positive message is still getting love. Three days after it was posted, the shot has more than 20,000 likes.

The curvy Sports Illustrated star appears in the magazine's upcoming swimsuit issue in February. In anticipation, she shared some thoughts with trolls and others who have criticised her in the past for promoting an 'unhealthy' lifestyle.

"My body is not wrong," she wrote alongside this incredibly lush shot. "There is no part of it that is not me or does not belong where it is."

"There is no such thing as a ‘wrong’ body," she continued.

"What’s wrong is the way you see it, the beliefs you impose on it, the labels you attach to it. Your words are wrong-not my body. I was not ‘born in the wrong body’. You were given the wrong words to describe it"

McGrady, who is a size 16 and nearly 6 feet tall, is a fierce advocate for body positivity who uses her fame to make others feel more beautiful in their own skin.

"I feel so grateful to be able to share these moments with women and men around the world who have never felt like they had a place because media has brainwashed us into thinking we have to fit a certain muold in order to fit in and be beautiful," she wrote in a post last week.

"We are here to stay so get on board."

McGrady has made headlines before for her messages of inclusive beauty. In 2017, she became the curviest model ever to shoot for the SI model search.

And it's shaping up to be an exciting year for her on many fronts, after she recently got engaged to partner Brian Keys – an admirer who reached out to her on Snapchat.
