Body image advocate: ‘Do I miss being skinny? No’
For a long time, Allison Kimmey was stuck in a battle with her body.
She spent years of her life trying to reduce her weight through various ‘quick-fix’ diet and exercise trends.
“I hated my body for so long. No matter what size or shape… it was never good enough,” the mother of two says.

Over the past few years, however, her attitude has completely shifted. The mother of two wears a larger dress size than she did a decade ago, yet she’s “a million times” happier than she was back then.
In a candid Instagram post last month, the self love advocate, author and speaker answered the question she’s constantly asked: does she miss being “skinny”?
“The truth is, I don't miss anything about the girl I was a decade ago, even being five dress sizes smaller,” Kimmey told her 155,000 followers beneath two photos of herself now and then.
