Surprising $6 Kmart buy will transform how you clean your floor

The "perfect shoes" do exist and they're at Kmart, according to one shopper.

However, the $6 buy isn't found in the shoe section of the store or designed to wear outside but for cleaning.

A woman named Dani showed off the dust slippers in an Instagram reel and praised them for their "functionality".

"I have found the perfect shoes. Nothing speaks to me more," she said while holding the dust slippers up to the camera.

"No but in all seriousness I love them. I am a chronic mopper and vacuumer."

After trying them on and doing a little shuffle on the floor Dani revealed how easy they are to clean as the cloth-covered soles peel off so you can pop them in the washing machine.

She then wore them while vacuuming and used the toe section of the dust slippers to clean the intricate parts of her skirting board.

Of course, the fun of wearing them means plenty of shuffling as we walk around the house and Dani was all of us as she did just that before ending the video.

Those who watched the clip were equally impressed and keen to pick some up next time they're at the shops, if they hadn't bought them already.

"You influenced me…..getting a pair just for fun lol," a woman commented.

"Omg stop! I need," one wrote.

"Yes i got them too!!!" a shopper said.

"The fact they are Velcro and you can throw in the wash… buyingg!!" another posted.

They are the perfect thing to wear while vacuuming so you don't add any more dust or dirt to the floor or get socks dirty.

"They are so clever....it's always the skirting boards (kick boards) that I get frustrated with when vacuuming," one commented.

"Take my [my money]! I'm putting my floor cleaning socks in the rubbish bin," a Kmart fan wrote.

"No more dirty socks after mopping," another said.

The dust slippers come in green with white stripes and are designed to wear on dry floors for dusting.

The dust slippers are just one of many cleaning products to land at Kmart recently.

Other cleaning buys to drop in the past couple of weeks include the dusting gloves for $4, a 300ml misting bottle for $4, a 20 pack of microfibre cloths for $8 and a three-in-one cleaning glove for $4.

After all that cleaning you'll be needing a sit-down so it's worth checking out the Como chenille lounger for $169, which Kmart shoppers were buying as soon as landed on store floors.

Some customers loved them so much they bought more than one, including Johnathan who purchased three to make a sofa for a meeting room at his work and a woman named Rochelle who bought two.

She ended up posting several TikToks about the chairs to respond to questions people had about them.

"Her first has had more than 900,00 views so far and was captioned; "Obsesseddddd @kmart australia Called Como Chenille Lounge Chair".

"Run to Kmart for this latest release," the text on the video read.
