Shoppers 'obsessed' with $169 Kmart buy for its style and comfy, cosy feel

Kmart has become known for its stylish and on-trend armchairs over the years but a new release could be the most comfortable yet.

The chair has barely touched the ground in stores and shoppers are already snapping them up to add to their homes.

Some love them so much they have purchased two to create a gorgeous matching set.

The product is the $169 Como chenille lounge chair and comes in a forest green colour.

There has been so much interest in the chair that shopper Rochelle Hill has posted multiple TikToks responding to various questions about it.

Her first has had more than 870,000 views in three days and was captioned; "Obsesseddddd @kmart australia Called Como Chenille Lounge Chair".

"Run to Kmart for this latest release," the text on the video read.

In a follow up video she shared close-ups of the chair and squeezed the cushions to show how cosy it is.

"They are really comfortable," she said before demonstrating with her hands.

Her followers are desperate to get their hands on the chairs.

"Girl they are sooooo cute!!" one said.

"I have to find these!!" a woman commented.

"I need these and I don't even have anywhere to put these," a shopper posted.

"Love these chairs they are on my list," another said.

Kmart fan Tiff also purchased the Como chenille lounge chair and showed how she styled it in the corner of her bedroom.

"Run don't walk for this new @kmart Australia chair So obsessed! It's way cosier than I imagined it to be for just $169! Makes a perfect addition for this little bedroom corner," she captioned her TikTok video.

The TikToks had customers rushing to the Kmart website and app to get more details on the chair but they were unable to find it. The product listing wasn't online at the time of publishing, 9honey understands the product will drop in stores across Australia and online in the coming weeks.

The Como chenille lounge chair isn't the only Kmart chair that has shoppers talking, there is also buzz about the green corduroy expanding chair.

A shopper showed the unboxing and expanding process of the $85 product in two videos on her TikTok account @kittysaltyy.

"As far as my review goes it is super solid, it is very heavy, it seems to be holding its shape well. Kmart had these in a white and fluffy material too," she said before adding, "It's not that great, but I kinda like it."

The chairs are just two of many new Kmart homewares to land in stores lately, including a $5 buy that has had shoppers in a frenzy.

Shoppers have been flocking to stores to purchase the strawberry and cherry mugs, which have a handmade look and 3D fruit shapes on them.

They have been describing them as the "cutest" mugs.

"I don't need anymore mugs like at all but you best believe I'm getting at least 2 of those," a woman said in response to a TikTok from Rachael Ward.

"Immediately running to Kmart omg!!!" a customer commented.

"I need that cherry one and I don't even like cherries," another wrote.
