'Never been so organised': The $6 hack that will transform your makeup storage

Calling all beauty lovers – this one's for you.

Any makeup fan knows that trying to organise their products into a drawer is a constant headache.

Items pile up, brushes go missing, and foundation leaks over everything.

A few savvy shoppers have discovered that an item for under $10 that solves the ongoing issue.

Kmart's range of caddies makes the perfect counter-top makeup organiser.

The Arts and Crafts Caddy, which comes in pink and blue, will set you back just $7.50.

It features six compartments with two removable dividers to make more space if needed.

The caddy is spacious, measuring 16.5cm high, 25.4cm wide and 15.2cm deep.

There's also the Clear Carry Caddy for $6, which features four compartments and a clear body.

It does not feature any removable inserts, but it's a spacious 18cm high, 24.8cm wide and 15.3 cm deep.

Several compartments of different shapes and sizes make perfect storage for bulky makeup items like brushes, foundation bottles and makeup sponges.

TikTok creator Jen Rothwell made a video about the caddy, explaining that she managed to fit her liquid, powder and pencil products into it, as well as her brushes.

"I don't think my makeup has been this organised ever," TikTok creator Jen said in a video.

"This is the best little organisation caddy from Kmart... this has genuinely upped my makeup organisation.

"It's so well organised... the other thing I love about it is you can move from location to location, whether you do your makeup in the bathroom or living room."

The caddy is not a new addition to the store; it's been available for at least one year.

Nine.com.au's Living reporter, Rachael Gavin, wrote about the caddy after she discovered it was perfect to store her skincare in.

"What I needed was a solution that would allow me to quickly and easily put the items on the vanity and then remove them again without a hassle," she said at the time.

"I gave the art and craft caddy a shot... that proved to be a much better fit for everything and had an unmovable handle allowing me to get it out of the bathroom cupboard and onto the vanity in seconds."

Similar arts and crafts caddies are easy to find.

Spotlight has the Crafters Choice Art Craft Storage Caddy in a range of different colours, including pink, purple, blue, green and white.

The carry caddy has three compartments and will set you back $6.

Officeworks has the Born Art Caddy for $14, which features seven unmovable compartments.

It's very spacious, offering a 25.2cm width, 15.6cm depth and 16.5cm height.

The cheapest art caddy on the market is Big W's Somersault Craft Caddy for $3.50.

The purple caddy has three large compartments and a carry handle.
