AFL star Hamish Hartlett and Luba Gvozdenovic welcome their first child

AFL star Hamish Hartlett and his wife, Luba Gvozdenovic, have announced the birth of their first child!

The former Port Adelaide vice-captain, 34, and his wife revealed the joyful news in a heartwarming joint Instagram post.

The pair welcomed a baby boy named Oscar Graham Hartlett, with Hartlett opening up about the experience.

Baby Oscar was pictured looking up at the camera while lying in the hospital cot; the couple also shared a selfie of themselves as Hartlett held their adorable newborn. 

"Oscar Graham Hartlett - born Sunday 12/01/2025 at 4:30pm, weighing 2.66kg and measuring 53cm," the post began.

"Mum was an absolute superstar! Everyone [is] happy and healthy now and enjoying some family time at home.

"A big thank you to the wonderful staff at The Women's and Children's Hospital, and a special mention to our incredible midwives Narelle and Grace for being so caring and calm throughout the birth," the pair concluded. 

The comment section of the post was filled with words of congratulations and well-wishes from family, friends and fans. 

"Congratulations, very happy for you and your family X," Hawthorn star Jarman Impey commented.

"Congratulations guys," Adelaide's Taylor Walker added, while fellow footy star commented: "Huge congrats guys."

"Congratulations Hammer, I trust everyone is doing well.🙏," another wrote. 

Hartlett and Gvozdenovic tied the knot in February 2024 in a close-knit ceremony at Simon Hackett Winery after getting engaged in August 2022.

In October 2024, the couple announced they were expecting in a candid Instagram post showing Gvozdenovic cradling her growing baby bump. 

"Mum and dad finally got a piccy," the caption of the post read.
