Woman sets up camera and discovers 'ghost' knocking over her cookbooks every night

Tasha was confused and a little worried after finding her cookbooks had fallen onto the kitchen floor every single morning.

The US homeowner noticed two of her recipe books were strewn across the hardwood floor every time she woke up and just couldn't understand why.

Speaking to TikTok, Tasha (@tasha_dazzz) explained she set up her laptop camera in front of her kitchen bench to get to the bottom of the strange phenomenon.

After waking up and checking the footage, Tasha revealed she had "literal chills" when she saw what happened at 3am.

"Every single morning, these are on the floor," she told her followers. "So I'm going to set up my computer and see if I catch anything tonight. Maybe it's just rodents, but we're gonna find out."

After turning on her computer camera at 11pm, nothing untoward happened until the clock ticked over to 1am.

The footage showed the books falling over out of nowhere, then two hours later at 3am, they appeared to slide off the counter "as if they were pushed".

Not only that, after the books fell, the unmistakeable sound of giggling could be heard in the video.

"This gave me literal CHILLS when I watched it the other morning.. I also hear what sounds like maybe giggling at the end?!" Tasha captioned the clip, which has since attracted nine million views.

"A lot of people have been telling me they believe there is a child spirit in my home. What do you think?"

Many of Tasha's followers claimed her house was most likely haunted and advised her to seek out paranormal investigators.

"It's the laughing for me. I would've had boxes ready to leave," one person wrote.

"I'm laying in bed watching this and now I'm too scared to get up to go the bathroom!" another added.

Others also suggested it was a "cat ghost" who enjoyed pushing items off the counter.

In a follow-up clip, Tasha cleared the counter and left out toys, a drink and different books and set up a camera to see if the paranormal activity continued.

Scarily, another book appeared to fall of the counter of its own accord after the sound of three knocks rings out into the kitchen.

"Girl. Three knocks is mocking the holy trinity. Be careful," one woman warned.

Another scared TikToker wrote: "Do you have contact with the previous owners? Also have you tried researching the history of the house? You must be petrified."
