Viral TikTok trend proves we've been eating Maccas soft serves wrong
An Australian TikTok user has sent McDonald's lovers into a tizzy with a surprisingly simple hack for eating the fast-food giant's soft serve ice-cream.
Food influencer Adrian, who posts under the name Places in Sydney Foodie on the popular app, filmed himself walking into a McDonald's store and making a 'smashed soft serve' — a trend which first went viral in Indonesia.
"Back to my fave McDonald's again. This time for an amazing hack," he captioned the video, which now has over 1.2 million views.
"This is called smashed soft serve, it is trending big time in Indonesia! And for good reason! It's divine!"

The video shows Adrian buying five $1 soft serve cones at his local McDonald's, before turning them upside down in a tray and smashing the ice-cream into a delicious mixture.
TikTok fans were quick to comment on Adrian's soft serve video, adding their own tips such as combining it with hot fudge, caramel or bits of Oreo.

Adrian was quick to bring this idea to life after uploading a second video of himself trying the smashed soft serve with crushed Oreo.
The viral food lover has over 115,000 followers on his TikTok page, where users enjoy his videos on the best places to eat in Sydney.
