Dad roasts chicken for family and makes unusual discovery inside
A father who cooked a roast chicken dinner for his family was shocked to make an unusual discovery inside the bird.
Posting a clip to TikTok, user @landonlailala claimed her dad pulled the chicken out of the oven and found an unhatched egg while cutting it up.
"My dad cooked a chicken and found an egg still in its butthole," the caption reads.

In the clip, the user shows an egg-shaped object sitting inside of the bird's cavity which had been inadvertently roasted alongside the rest of the chicken.
It quickly attracted over 1.7 million views, with hundreds of commenters sharing their disgust.
Some even quipped that they would no longer be eating chicken ever again.
"Never been happier to be a vegan," one woman wrote.
"Chicken was already sketchy for me. Now it's been ruined for the rest of my life. For real," another wrote.

Another TikTok user named Art D'Echo shared a clip to clear up any confusion about a chicken's biology.
She explained a chicken doesn't have a "butthole" but instead has a cloaca, which all egg-laying mammals (or monotremes) have.
It is rare to find unhatched eggs still inside store-bought chickens, however it is not impossible.
It is likely the chicken in the video was not properly gutted or cleaned before being sold to a supermarket.
