Meghan's hack for the perfect fluffy scrambled eggs is an unexpected ingredient

Meghan Markle has delighted fans with a raft of new recipes in her new eight-part lifestyle series With Love, Meghan.

The Duchess of Sussex also shared some cooking tips through-out the show, including a hack for the perfect scrambled eggs.

In an episode where she's joined by Korean-American chef Roy Choi, the pair together make a batter for a batch of Korean fried chicken.

When the famous chef added some cold sparkling water into the batter, she asked more about it.

"Does the sparkling water just help make the batter extra crispy?" Meghan asked.

"Yes, exactly," Choi replied.

With the chef looking impressed at the duchess's knowledge, that's when she reveals her own use for the carbonated drink.

"Do you ever put cold sparkling water in your eggs before you scramble them?" she asked, to which he revealed he hadn't.

"Same sort of effect - helps them rise, get a little fluffy, it's great. Just a tiny little splash."

However, this simple but effective hack isn't a concept Meghan created.

It's understood North Carolina chef William Dissen of The Market Place restaurant made it famous in a 2023 video, though it's likely been a secret used by others for many years.

Other tips for fluffy scrambled eggs includes cooking them on a low heat and using a fork-like utensil instead of a wooden spoon.

Meghan also provides a range of tips for the kitchen and household through the Netflix series that fans are sure to use.
