McDonald's Australia has quietly rolled out a major change to its MyMacca's McDelivery service.

The fast food giant will now allow more customers to have their favourite menu items delivered directly to their door through the popular app.

McDelivery is only available in select stores across NSW, however McDonald's confirmed it will soon be making it available in more stores soon.

"McDelivery via the MyMacca's app is now available in participating restaurants across New South Wales, with plans to roll it out across participating restaurants nationwide over the coming weeks," a McDonald's spokesperson said in a statement.

"McDelivery allows customers to place delivery orders using the MyMacca's app, while also earning and redeeming MyMacca's Rewards points.

"This is part of our ongoing commitment to providing greater value, convenience and rewards for our customers. Customers can check their MyMacca's app to see if McDelivery is available at a restaurant near them."

McDonald's launched McDelivery in 2017. The MyMacca's app allows customers to accumulate loyalty points and offers deals only available on mobile.

"We're always listening to our customers and looking at ways we can evolve their experience through innovation," Mark Wheeler, director of digital at McDonald's Australia, said at the time.

The loyalty scheme launched in May 2022, with every $1 spent on eligible food and drink purchases with the MyMacca's app worth 100 points.

A delivery fee and a service fee of 5 per cent will be applied when you order through the app.
