McDonald's Australia is bringing back its popular Mexican-inspired range for a limited time only.

The El Maco range is back, having first appeared on menus in the 90s, before it returned in 2012, and again in 2019, 2020 and now 2026, from Wednesday January 14.

And this time around the fast food giant says the range is juicier and zestier.

A new addition to the range is the El McCrispy chicken burger with a chicken breast fillet, lettuce, tomato, cheese, El Maco salsa, and sour cream, served on a soft potato bun.

Another new addition, the El Maco Chicken McWrap comes with chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, cheese, El Maco salsa and sour cream wrapped in a soft tortilla.

In addition to the El Maco range's return this week, the Milo McFlurry is also back, and this time around will be joined by a Milo Shake.

This isn't the first time an Aussie fast food giant has blended Mexican flavours into its traditional menu; it's happening more often since Guzman y Gomez experienced a surge in popularity.

In other fast food news, KFC has launched a breakfast menu at Sydney Airport's domestic and international terminals.

Food blogger Nectoriouspapi reported on the specific items on offer, which include chicken toasties, avocado toast, chicken, egg and bacon rolls, BLTs with chicken, and chicken and egg wraps.

Hash browns are also on offer, as well as coffee.
