Aussies only have days before these two sell-out dessert collaboration disappear from stores for good

Aussie food lovers have just days to try two of the newest cinnamon scroll collaborations before they disappear for good.

Krispy Kreme is currently selling limited-edition Original Glazed cinnamon scrolls. Customers can purchase them for $6 each, or three for $16, until April 28, or a cinnamon scroll and coffee combo for $8.90.

Instead of traditional cream cheese frosting, Krispy Kreme's cinnamon scrolls make use of the donut brand's signature original glaze.

Krispy Kreme ANZ's Chief Marketing Officer, Aimee Cutajar said at the time of launch: "We know some of life's best moments happen over something sweet – whether it's a weekend coffee run with friends or a spontaneous treat with family.

"With this launch, we wanted to take a bakery staple everyone loves and give it that unmistakable Krispy Kreme glow-up."

The arrival was so popular it sold out in some stores across the country before 8am.

Frozen yoghurt brand Yo-Chi also jumped on the cinnamon scrolls craze, launching Mini Cinny Scrolls as one of their many toppings.

Yo-Chi's Mini Cinny Scrolls are baked fresh daily by local bakeries in each state and territory and are available until April 26.

"This is the first time we're working with local bakers to bring freshly baked products into Yo-Chi venues nationwide," said Olliver Alis, Yo-Chi Co-owner and Brand Director.

"We're partnering with small, much-loved bakeries in each state, and while that means things won't always run like clockwork, it's what makes this collab so special.

"These scrolls are made fresh, in small batches, and we'll be doing our best to keep our community updated so you can get your mitts on these very cute, very famous Mini Cinny Scrolls.

"We're incredibly proud to showcase these iconic local bakers – each with their own story and their own take on our exclusive Mini Cinny Scrolls."

Krispy Kreme's cinnamon scrolls and Yo-Chi's Mini Cinny Scrolls are available until the end of April only, following their successful launches earlier this month.

Cinnamon scrolls have a long and delicious history in Australia, peaking in popularity in 2025, ahead of major brands like Krispy Kreme and Yo-Chi coming up with their own collaborations in 2026.

Cinnamon scrolls can be traced back to Sweden in the 1920s and are made from a yeast pastry flavoured with a unique spice blend, including cinnamon, before being shaped into a scroll and topped with a generous helping of cream cheese icing.

The popular treat spread across Europe and the US before arriving in Australia.

It was US-chain Cinnabon that levelled up the cinnamon scroll industry in Australia, opening their first store in Queensland in 2019 before expanding into Sydney and Melbourne where long queues often formed.

Then in 2025 Woolworths released two delicious Cinnabon collaborations: Woolworths Indulgent Cinnabon Filled Hot Cross Buns and Woolworths Cinnabon Cake.

Both products proved so popular they were brought back in 2026, often selling out.

Bakers Delight launched their own cinnamon scrolls in 2025 and this year, Krispy Kreme and Yo-Chi embraced the cinnamon scroll trend with their own, unique offerings.

Once Krispy Kreme and Yo-Chi wrap up their latest collaborations, cinnamon scroll-lovers will still have plenty of delicious products to choose from, with most bakeries now offering cinnamon scrolls as part of their regular line ups.

Costco sells trays of eight cinnamon scrolls with cream cheese frosting for $14.99.

And Coles sells Bake At Home frozen cinnamon scrolls in six for $7.50 as well as fresh cinnamon scrolls at their in-store bakery.
