Mornings are often a rush with long commutes, exercise and children to organise all before starting work.

It can mean little time for making and eating a nourishing breakfast, leaving us tired, hungry and struggling to concentrate.

One fix to this is a smoothie filled with protein and fruit for a good start to the day.

But what makes it even quicker and easier is having the ingredients prepped and ready to go in a blender that you can take with you.

The $30 USB portable blender can be charged ahead of time so that you can blend up your chosen mix in the office kitchen or wherever you may be.

It comes in light blue, pink, lilac and dark blue.

It's just as handy to have around the house to make a quick one serve meal for kids, as Jemima can vouch for.

"When I have a busy morning trying to get out the door, I give my one-year-old a smoothie for breakfast (much cleaner than trying to feed him a bowl of cereal!)," she tells nine.com.au.

"[The smoothie usually includes] one or two Weet-Bix, half a banana, a spoon of yogurt and some milk. He loves it."

For Orana, smoothies mean she can still get the delicious taste and goodness of her favourite breakfast even when short on time.

"I used to love doing fancy smoothie bowls in summer that I would decorate with mango slices, berries, cereal and seeds. These days I'm often in a rush, so I just whack some frozen banana, frozen berries and soy milk in the blender with some nut butter and whiz away," she says.

Whether a smoothie is a quick breakfast solution, a snack after working out or a way to get more protein in your diet, most people have their go-to combination of ingredients.

"I am a bit of a traditionalist, I still go for strawberry and banana with vanilla protein powder and a bit of milk and ice," Jo says, adding she loves single-serve blenders for quick and easy cleaning.

Chloe, meanwhile, likes a super healthy and delicious-sounding mix.

"Half a banana, a handful of fresh blueberries and strawberries, a spoonful of Sally Obermeder's supergreen superfood powder, coconut water, and macro organic cacao powder for that chocolatey taste," she says.

As for me, I'm more of the 'make it as much like a milkshake as possible' kind and lean to smoothies for a little extra protein in my diet.

I like to have strawberries with milk and a scoop of ice cream.

With a small kitchen and only myself to blitz a smoothie for the USB portable blender is perfect.

Plus, the in-built cup and add-on base make things easy because I don't need to pour the mix into a separate glass to drink from. Then I can just take it straight to my desk or out and about. Deliciously simple!
