Meet the Aussie farmers feeding King Charles III and Queen Camilla
An Aussie couple had the shock of their lives after being asked to feed King Charles and Queen Camilla on their royal tour.
First-generation farmers Tim and Hannah Eyes were unexpectedly honoured with a strange request.
Speaking on the Today Show, the couple revealed they were asked to prepare their finest chicken for the monarch from their farm, The Food Farm, in the Yarramalong Valley on the Central Coast.

The pair were in the thick of the chicken chores, collecting eggs and feeding the chooks, when they got the call from the Premier's Department.
"They were looking for the best chicken in Australia, the craziest farmers in Australia, and here we are," Hannah said.

Tim recalled their reaction to being asked to feed the royals: "We went up to the paddock and I guess we had to tell the chooks was the first thing, like, 'Hey guys, we've got some news.'"
"The chickens have been sacrificed for the King and they're in the cool room as we speak," he added.
Creating a meal fit for a King is no small feat, with a chef lending a hand.
"Today, we're just prepping that chicken. We have a chef who's cooking it on a barbecue, it's at the community barbecue in Parramatta," Tim shared.

So what will the King be enjoying?

"We've got some beautiful Merrylands that we've boned out [and] put into a really quick brine, and then we've got a nice little sauce to go with it.
"We're actually feeding the 500 guests as well, so it's just a small portion."
The pair are "looking forward to talking about what we do with [King Charles] while we've got a little chance," adding, "It's really, really quite humbling."
The Eyes are regenerative farmers, which means they make all decisions on the farm with the environment in mind.
Aligning well with King Charles' love for climate advocacy and environmental sustainability, the couple focuses on "healing the soil and focusing on the biodiversity on the farm to produce food that is really nourishing and really honours the animal as well."
