KFC only follows 11 accounts on Twitter: Clever reason why

KFC in the US only follows 11 people on Twitter for a very clever reason. The fast food retailer is famous for it's secret seasoning which contains 11 secret herbs and spices.

So, in keeping with this, the account follows the five Spice Girls and six people named Herb.

It's truly the most clever thing and hats off to the social media person responsible for it.

Fans have been discussing this interesting detail on social media, with one person commenting: "The person that runs the KFC account needs a raise. I don't care how much they make now. GIVE THEM A RAISE."

Another comments: "They must have a seasoned marketing person. #seewhatIdidthere."

One person says: "Just realised they weren't following back. Rude. Good joke though."

They have substantially more followers, however, totally 1.5 million.

KFC Australia hasn't followed suit, instead running a more conventional Twitter account with a total of 357 accounts including some of our top TV show and media personalities and 30,600 followers.

The 11 secret herbs and spices used to create the delicious chicken sold at KFC around the world is a closely guarded secret. It is reportedly kept in a vault in Louisville in the US, the company's headquarters.

KFC, previously known as Kentucky Fried Chicken, first opened in 1952 in Utah. Colonel Harland Sanders, an entrepreneur, began his company by selling his product by the side of the road before becoming the world-famous brand it is today.
