IKEA is giving away free breakfast to Aussie customers for one day only
IKEA has grown a following for its in-store food offerings as much as the products it went into business to sell (in case you didn't realise: IKEA is actually a furniture store).
That much is known to the Swedish budget homeware giant, who is very much leaning into that reputation this weekend.
Yes, for one day only, Australian customers can indulge in a breakfast at IKEA, completely free of charge – but you have to do one small thing to claim it.

On Saturday, August 31, from when your local IKEA opens until 11am, customers who wear their pyjamas to one of the 10 stores across Australia can enjoy a free croissant, cinnamon bun or hot breakfast.
That's thanks to the fact that IKEA's recent Life at Home report revealed that 55 per cent of people rate sleep as their most important wellbeing activity at home.

The problem is, multiple studies have shown that as many as one in two adults are not satisfied with the sleep they're getting.
IKEA's PJ Day on August 31 officially kicks off the brand's year of sleep, with initiatives on the day including a meet and greet with FABLER bear, who will be giving out a free small FABLER bear toy to all children in stores across Australia.

Customers across the country also have the opportunity to win a limited-edition set of IKEA pyjamas, featuring the store's veggie balls, lingonberry jam and gravy, alongside the iconic blue and yellow brand colours.
The pyjama sets are so exclusive they're not actually for sale.
Rather, IKEA Australia's followers can win them in a social media competition, with details on the store's official Instagram page.
