The TikTok frozen cake mix hack making all of our mouths water
A revolutionary baking hack is sweeping TikTok, with delicious results.
Users on the video-sharing platform have concocted a way to ensure that in the event there is cake mix left over after a baking session, it doesn't go to waste.
In a video, one TikTok user demonstrates how they transform frozen cake batter into bite-sized cupcakes.

"Whenever I have leftover cake batter, I like to freeze it," social media chef Christian Paul explains.
"When I'm ready to bake it, I just let it thaw out on the counter until it's room temperature - close to room temperature."

Paul then slices up strawberries to add to the mix, stirring the ingredients together with a knife in the same freeze-lock bag.
"I mix it up with a knife because I don't have any other utensils," he explains.
Spooning the mixture into a cupcake tray, Paul says the mix can be baked at the temperature recommended on the original packet.

Pulling out the fresh cupcakes, the TikTok baker declares, "That is how you bake frozen cake batter."
Paul's video, which has been viewed more than 20,000 times, has inspired viewers to try the delicious technique for themselves.
"Mind blown - I could make cupcakes on demand since I live alone and making 24 is too much. You're brilliant," one writes.
"I wish I knew this a year ago," confesses another.

Another commenter shares a suggestion to make Paul's method even simpler.
"You can also cut a big hole at the bottom of the Ziplock bag to mimic a 'piping bag'," they write.
Paul confirms that for the optimum result, it's best to store frozen cake batter for a month maximum.
"You can always test it out since different recipes might do well longer," he adds.
