Hero solves universal ice-cream melting dilemma, wins Twitter

Now everyone can gorge on icy cold tubs of the stuff without it turning to soup, using this neat online hack.

As far as we're concerned, there's only one word for a person who spends their down time solving major universal ice-cream problems: hero.

Donald Li (@DonaldtheAZN) recently blew a lot of people's minds in Twitterland after sharing a neat little discovery that will quite possibly change the way we eat our ice-cream, if not advance the entire human race as we know it.

Realising that his pint of ice-cream would probably turn to liquid before he finished it, Li tried slipping the tub into a thermos with ice cubes in the bottom, and lo and behold (*gasp!*) it fit like a freakin' glove.

Sharing images of his 'aha' moment on Twitter, Li captions the photos: "Pint of ice cream fits perfectly into a Yeti cup. I think my life has peaked now. (Bonus ice at the bottom makes it extra cold)"

Coincidence, or dessert destiny?

In just five days, the Tweet has garnered almost 40,000 likes and more than 13,000 retweets, with many dubbing it a "game changer".

"Bro even your cat is like, 'hol up, you deadass just did that? Lemme see'," one user wrote, referring to one of the photos featuring Li's black-and-white feline eyeing the thermos from the sidelines.

"My whole life has been leading to this one moment," one adoring commentator writes, while another pledges to copy it. "Mind. Blown. I'll definitely be doing that soon."

Hundreds more chimed in to praise Li for sharing the ground-breaking discovery.

"You're my hero," announces one Twitter user, while another can't even handle the ingenuity. "BUT actually it's genius omg I love inventive people!! I CAN CARRY ICECREAM ALL DAY NOW."

Promisingly, people began putting this newfound information to use, immediately.

But not everyone was impressed by the life hack, with some partial to a bit of melt factor.
