The pizza topping challenging pineapple's 'most controversial' title
Bubba Pizza is kicking off summer with a unique flavour combination that is a major level up from the continuing debate about pineapple as a choice of topping.
The Aussie family-owned pizza chain has launched a Ham and Orange Pizza, a nod to Italy's deep-rooted love of oranges.
Italians can try it for free by showing their Italian passports in any of Bubba Pizza's 15 stores across Victoria, while those without passports and non-Italians can score a freebie simply by wearing orange.

Tony Fazio, an Italian pizza maestro who developed Bubba Pizza's iconic dough recipe, has thrown his support behind the new creation.
"As an Italian, I was skeptical at first," Fazio said.
"But the ham and orange pizza is a game-changer. It balances the tanginess of the orange with the savoury ham perfectly, and it's a nod to the citrus flavours Italians have loved for generations."

Bubba Pizza Managing Director Damian Hopper described the new creation as not just a new pizza but "a way to bring people together over something unexpected."
"Aussies and Italians might have different ideas about what belongs on a pizza, but the Ham and Orange Pizza celebrates the best of both worlds. It's fresh, it's fun, and it's a little bit daring—just like summer should be," he added.
The pizza launches exclusively on November 29 and will be available all summer.
Bubba Pizza opened in Melbourne more than two decades ago and now operates in Victoria and South Australia.
The dough is hand-made from scratch with fresh ingredients sourced locally.
