Innovative baker invents a novel alternative to the iconic (but often unpractical) long, arrow-straight baguette.
Like their beloved Eiffel Tower, the humble baguette is so quintessentially French that it's often regarded as a national symbol. However in a historic first, the long, narrow loaf has just received its first modern makeover, and the internet can't even handle its sheer awesomeness.
Dubbed the "baguette du motard" or "biker's wand", an innovative bakery in Landernau in north-western France are producing a U-shaped version of the popular loaf to make it easier for their biker and cyclist clientele to transport it—and the concept has taken off, with thousands taking to social media to praise the invention this last month.
