Shoppers fear the worst as beloved ice cream vanishes from supermarket shelves
Australian shoppers have been left heartbroken after noticing an empty place in the supermarket frozen section where the Connoisseur Jam Donut ice cream used to be.
Woolworths currently has the popular flavour listed as 'out of stock' online, while the Coles website says it's 'currently unavailable'.
Smaller grocery stores also list the product as no longer being available online.

Marketing Manager for Connoisseur Gourmet Ice Cream, Tara Cook, confirmed to 9honey that the flavour is no longer being stocked but hinted that it "may not be forever".
"As some flavours are on regular rotation, Connoisseur Jam Doughnut has been replaced by the newest flavour, Honeycomb & Australian Honey in 1L tubs and 4-packs," she says.
"Early reads are showing Australians are already falling in love with our new flavour."
The brand also recently launched the new Murray River Salted Caramel but isn't opposed to bringing back retired flavours Aussie shoppers loved.
"Connoisseur is always innovating and we love a 'bring back' story so whilst Connoisseur Jam Doughnut has left the freezer aisle for now, it may not be forever," Cook said.
Made with cinnamon doughnut and sweet cream ice cream, doughnut pieces, and rich raspberry syrup, Connoisseur Jam Donut ice cream was a hit in many Aussie homes.

"I love this ice cream, the only problem is I eat it in two sittings and need to buy more," one fan wrote on its Woolworths listing.
Meanwhile, Aussie Janet Smith was so devastated when she saw it was no longer available that she started a petition on Change.org to get the flavour back on supermarket shelves.
"To all ice cream lovers throughout Australia, in case you have not noticed, Peters ice creamery has decided not to continue making the Jam Donut ice cream in their Connoisseur range," she penned.
"This means a lot of heartbreak for many of us who have fallen in love with this litre tub of happiness that I'm sure would even have the angels in tears!"
About 30 people had signed her petition at the time of writing.

This isn't the first time a fan-favourite grocery product has disappeared from shelves in recent months.
Last Thursday it was announced that the beloved Celebrations chocolate box was being pulled from Aussie shelves.
"Our Celebrations products were imported from Europe and like many Australian businesses importing products from overseas, we are experiencing rising cost-pressures and supply challenges," a Mars Wrigley spokesperson told 9honey Kitchen.
"Late last year, we made the difficult decision to discontinue the Celebrations brand in Australia."
Panicked Aussie biscuit lovers were also left fearing the worst after Arnott's Raspberry Shortcake biscuits disappeared from supermarket shelves in October.

Thankfully, Arnott's Australia reassured 9honey Kitchen its absence – also sparked by "supply challenges" – was only temporary.
"I understand from the team that stock has left our warehouses and should be on shelves within the week," a spokesperson said.
