'Quite a nasty surprise at the checkout': Customers left disappointed as Coles' $10 lunch meal deal ends
Coles thrilled customers by launching a super savvy $10 lunch meal deal two years ago.
Shoppers were offered more bang for their buck from the supermarket giant when they could pick up a 'main, snack and drink' for just $10 (a rarity for office workers in the city when it comes to lunch!)
But now it's out of stores, leaving some customers disappointed.

One consumer shared their grievance on Reddit and said they got a "nasty surprise" when they went to the checkout recently.
They told others not to pick up three items and expect it to be $10.
"Just a warning that Coles has quietly withdrawn the $10 lunch deal that got you a main, snack and a drink for $10," they claimed.

"No signage to be found indicating it's been withdrawn.
"Quite a nasty surprise at the checkout today."
"Never heard of it," one person replied.
Another shared their disappointment.
"Found this out the hard way a few weeks ago when I tried to scan my $ maximised trio, left empty handed," they wrote.
"Sad days."

In a statement to 9honey, a Coles spokesperson confirmed the meal deal has officially ended.
"While the $10 lunch meal deal has now finished, we have plenty of delicious and convenient food-to-go options available for our customers - including our popular range of Coles Kitchen Salads and Sandwiches starting from just $5.50 each," they said.
Previously, a TikTok user praised the $10 lunch meal deal and said he went to Coles Wynyard to pick up lunch for $10.
