Coles is discontinuing its popular Butter Chicken roast chicken flavour, with this latest variety set to leave supermarket shelves this month. Shoppers have just days left to get their hands on the Indian-inspired flavour which has been in stores nationwide since May.
But in its place will be a brand new flavour. Coles are teaming up with Old El Paso to put a Mexican-inspired twist on one of its most-loved dinner favourites, with a new Old El Paso Hot Roast Chicken launching nationally from November 4.

The new chicken will be $14.50, with a launch special of $13.50 for the first two weeks, and will be available in all Coles stores and via Uber Eats for a limited four-month run, while stocks last.
Coles Product Developer Suzanne De Monte, who helped bring the new flavour to life, told nine.com.au the team wanted to give customers a fresh take on a much-loved dinner staple.

“We know hot roast chickens are already a go-to for busy nights, so teaming up with Old El Paso was a fun way to make them feel new again,” De Monte said.
“The best part is how versatile it is. You can enjoy it as is, or turn it into tacos, tortillas or loaded nachos in minutes, which makes dinner that little bit easier.”

“It’s a delicious new way to bring taco night to the table, and we can’t wait for Australians to try it when it lands exclusively at Coles on November 4 with these two beloved brands coming together.”
