A major shortage of a popular confectionary is showing no sign of slowing down.

Pascall Clinkers are still absent from most supermarket shelves. They became incredibly popular in recent months Pascall Clinkers, which involves making life choices based on choosing the inside colour of the Clinker – pink, green, or yellow.

Despite being listed as in stock on Coles and Woolworths in larger packs, those visiting supermarkets in person are struggling to find them.

Faced with having to make life choices the old fashioned way, resourceful Aussies have come up with a new and delicious way to decide.

So what are Australian's to do when it comes to deciding which outfit to wear or whether or not to got to Bali over Christmas? What if we aren't sure if we should break up with our partner, or need to know if we should dye our hair blue?

With the popular confectionary still missing, it was desperate times, until some genius lolly lovers came up with an alternative.

They would use other candy instead.

One TikToker chose Skittles, which was a work around for those who cannot eat gluten (which is an ingredient in Clinkers) however due to the many colours in the Skittles bag, they did remove some of the colours.

They cost around $6 a bag, so a reasonable alternative to the beloved Clinkers.

They chose to go with purple, green and red.

The first question was: "If I get red, you're going to buy a Lotto ticket and if it wins anything we're going to split the winners."

Sadly, they chose green.

Their next question: "If this is green, you have to jump into the pool fully clothed."

Green was chosen. Happy swimming!

M&M's have also been used in place of Clinkers. This has been demonstrated by a group of workers.

Their first question was: "If this is green, I get to go home right now."

Sadly, they chose a blue M&M.

The next question was: "If this is brown Mia has to buy me a bag of Haigh's salted caramel chocolates."
