Aldi $25 dupe of cult Kmart buy sends shoppers into a spin
Discount supermarket chain Aldi is set to release a sausage roll maker that's almost identical to the wildly popular Kmart version — however, it's set to retail for $4 cheaper.
The cult appliance will hit shelves this Wednesday, September 9, as part of Aldi's weekly Special Buys, with a price tag of $24.95 — as opposed to Kmart's $29 version.

When Kmart launched their sausage roll maker back in May the item sold out immediately, to the disappointment of many shoppers who had to wait several months for it to return to shelves.
Soon after the appliance launched, a litany of delicious sausage roll maker dessert hacks began emerging on social media, from eclairs to Mars Bar pastries (note: apparently the choccie bar is the perfect size for the Kmart version).

Since news of the Special Buy hit shoppers have been in a spin, with comments online ranging from "important news!" to "get in quick!"
"We need this," one Aldi fan wrote in a Facebook post.
The kitchen-themed sale will also see the return of some other popular appliances, including the Aldi air fryer and Theromix dupe.

"I can see the news headline now 'riots at every Aldi store across the country over kitchen appliances' I might sit these specials out," one shopper wrote to the Aldi Mums Facebook page.
The product tease almost a month after dropping their much-hyped multi-purpose snack maker appliance for $60 cheaper than the Target version, only for some customers to find faults with the device soon after purchasing.
The German retailer were forced to offer shoppers refunds after reports the $40 gadget's plastic latches were melting after use in some cases. An Aldi spokesperson said at the time: "We encourage customers to report any such incidents to our Customer Service team so we can thoroughly investigate."
