Cadbury is teasing the return of its cult-favourite Dairy Milk Mini Eggs block, confirming a potential restock is on the cards after selling out across Australia last year.

The treat became an overnight sensation when it launched last year, quickly reaching "sell-out" status at both Coles and Woolworths.

Since then, it has been missing in action, leaving fans to scour supermarket shelves in vain.

However, Mondelez International has finally broken its silence, confirming to Nine.com.au that a possible return is "definitely on the radar".

While the Cadbury parent company stopped short of providing an official launch date, a spokesperson acknowledged the massive cult following the block has generated.

"We've seen the love for Cadbury Dairy Milk Mini Eggs block and it's always great to hear how passionate Aussies are about their favourite snacks," they said.

Given how addictive the original treats are, the hunt for the elusive $8 Mini Eggs block was always going to be high-stakes. Woolworths

"Although we don't have details to share just yet on timing, we can confirm it's definitely on our radar and something we know fans are eager to see back on shelves."

The lack of a concrete date hasn't stopped the "Mini Egg-obsessed" from hunting for leftover stock.

Currently, the situation on the ground is a mixed bag.

Coles and Woolworths both currently list the item as "unavailable" online. Woolworths has confirmed the block was a complete sell-out in 2025 and has not officially returned for the start of the 2026 season.

Meanwhile, the delivery app Milk Run has the block listed for $8, but it remains teasingly marked as "coming back soon".

The desperation for the Mini Egg version has sparked a frenzy among chocolate fans.

While the Creme Egg block is already back on shelves for 2026, many social media users have been vocal about their preference for the crunchy Mini Egg alternative.

"I've only seen the Creme Egg block. I'd rather have the Mini Egg block," one fan lamented on Facebook.

For those who refuse to miss out a second time, Cadbury is directing fans to join the official Cadbury Club mailing list, promising that members will be the "first to hear" about returning treats.

In the meantime, the brand noted that more than half of its 2026 Easter range is priced at $10 and under, with the classic bags of Mini Eggs already available to tide you over.
