Aussie woman's surprise find inside box of Cadbury Favourites
When WA woman Poppy picked up a box of Cadbury Favourites to share with friends during a recent camping trip, she probably thought the biggest challenge would be picking which delicious treat to eat first.
Instead, she has found herself in the middle of a conspiracy-riddled furore surrounding a surprise discovery.
In a video shared on TikTok, Poppy shares her unusual experience.

"Weirdest thing just happened. I just opened my Twirl Crispy and instead of a chocolate, I have most of someone's house floor plan," she explains.
Poppy then shows viewers close-ups of the floor plan, which seems to be legitimate and was "fully folded up perfectly" inside the chocolate wrapper.
"So if you are missing your floor plan, Cadbury worker... " she begins.
Then, one of her campmates opens his Boost and discovers more papers, much to their shock, which they initially thought could be the missing piece from the floor plan discovery.

"Oh my God it's not a missing piece, its a different piece of paper!" Poppy adds.
This time, it was a pilates exercise plan.
She thought she'd "won something" when she first spotted the paper inside her chocolate. "What is going on?" she exclaims.
Some of her friends did get chocolates inside their wrappers and are seen crowding around Poppy in the video, peering at the pieces of paper. Then, one of them finds another one.
"Wait, open it on camera," Poppy says.
This time, it appears to be a list of bills on an Excel spreadsheet.
"Is there more?" Poppy is heard asking, before adding, "How does this even happen?"
The group tips out the remaining contents of the Cadbury Favourites box and they begin feeling each chocolate, looking for more surprise discoveries.
"We're just digging for paper now," one adds.
They find a Moro, which contains more floor plans.

Poppy shared her surprise discovery on TikTok in a now-viral video that has been viewed 2.5 million times.
Cadbury quickly responded in the comments section, writing, "Everyone has a favourite but paper isn't one of them! Pieces in this box are made & weighed at 3 Aussie sites.
"Pls DM so our Care team can reach out!"
On Reddit, people shared their theories as to how this occurred.
"I think someone has bought this box, eaten all the chocolate and then filled the wrappers with paper, resealed them and taken it back for a refund and the store has put it back on the shelf without checking," one suggested.
"I think you've finally found an original experience," another said.
"Me running to check my box of unopened Cadbury chocolate," another said.
Poppy has now shared a follow-up video to address some of the conspiracy theories being thrown her way since the original post, explaining the box of Favourites was purchased "from the shops" and it wasn't given to her as a prank.

"Genuinely this was filled with paper," she explained.
Poppy also said each chocolate was "properly sealed" so she doesn't think someone placed the paper inside them manually.
"Now, what was actually on the paper? I have two copies of the same house floor plan, one with more edits than the other. I have a pilates exercise routine, so if anyone wants a pilates exercise routine I can share that with you guys," she adds.
"Another one was an Excel spreadsheet print out of dates to pay bills, or something, that's missing some paper on it.
"And then there's a random piece of paper that's instructions for something, not a heist ... and it's missing a bunch of paper as well."

Poppy has since spoken to Cadbury and provided details about her purchase, including the box itself and photos of the papers, so they can looking into how this has come about.
She told her followers they have been "hilarious" with their conspiracy theories.
"It has been the best reading them," she said.
In addition to suggestions she had stumbled upon plans for a criminal "heist", it was suggested she obtain a blue light to "see if there is secret writing" on them.
"I really don't think there is. I actually don't think this is some 'underground criminal organisation' vibe, even though that would be kind of crazy.
"I don't know what's going on, but Cadbury has been really amazing, and they are addressing the issue as we speak."

One TikToker suggested: "My guess: there was an issue in production with how the individual chocolates were getting wrapped.
"Someone got the idea to use scrap paper so as to not waste chocolate while fixing the issue. But didn't keep track of/remove the testers afterwards."
Another said: "It's simply a test run of production. They send content down the line to check weights.
"Yes it should have not ended up for sale so Cadbury need to fess up to their mistake."
This was quickly refuted.
"Not possible, no worker would ever put paper on the production line. Also if there's a problem with wrapping they just keep using chocolate, but divert miss wrapped off the line and they're then sold in the shop at factory."

But this proved to be the most popular theory, with another TikToker saying: "I think they would be from their quality control process.
"They would probably has a machine that tests the boxes, assuming this could be a 'dummy' box that's been accidentally been processed. Just my guess lol."
Many of her followers asked if Cadbury was going to send her free Cadbury Favourites, and Poppy is yet to respond to this.
A spokesperson for Mondelez International, the makers of Cadbury Favourites, told nine.com.au: "We're in contact with the consumer and are currently investigating this case. Favourites pieces are made, wrapped and quality-checked at three of our manufacturing sites across Australia.

"Cadbury Dairy Milk pieces including Marvellous Creations are made in Tasmania; bars like Twirl Crispy, Cherry Ripe, and Boost are made in Victoria at Ringwood and Turkish Delight at Scoresby. The finished Favourites pieces are then automatically packed into Favourites boxes at our Ringwood site, according to their respective recipes, overseen by our team.
"At this stage, there's no evidence of a broader quality issue, but we're looking into all possibilities and we will follow up directly with the consumer once our investigation is complete to share our findings."
