Brooklyn Beckham shooting new cooking docuseries as he works in restaurant kitchens

Brooklyn Beckham has revealed he's working on a new cooking show.

The 23-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham gave very little details about the reality-TV-style series during an interview with US publication Bustle, released on Thursday.

The newlywed – who also shot down reports of a feud between his famous mum and actress wife Nicola Peltz Beckham – will take his hobby to the next level in the docuseries, which will see him line cook in some established restaurant kitchens.

"I'm not a professional chef - at all," he admits to the publication.

When asked if his passion for cooking could lead the YouTube star to open his own establishment, he admitted he did like the idea of opening a very British pub in Los Angeles, reflecting his upbringing in his new hometown.

"Have you been to a proper English pub?" he asks the journalist.

"You know how there's low ceilings? Everything's dark, everything smells of old beer, sticky? ... But it's more going to be focused on obviously the aesthetic, the food, and the beer. I want to get the beer imported from Ireland."

While he doesn't have a name in mind as yet for the pub, he says it will likely have "something to do with my wife".

Brooklyn, who took his wife's maiden name as a middle name when they married in April, credits Nicola for helping him turn his enjoyment of cooking into a career option.

During lockdown she began recording as he cooked in the kitchen and they uploaded the videos to YouTube, before Brooklyn landed an eight-episode show on Facebook Watch.

Sadly, Cookin' With Brooklyn, wasn't well regarded by critics amid reports it took a crew of 62 and a budget of $100,000 to make each episode.

During each episode, he met and cooked with notable chefs including Nancy Silverton, Roy Choi and Nobu Matsuhisa.

Nobu is a good friend of the 23-year-old and has been something of a mentor to the aspiring chef.

"He understands my heart, too, and he likes to learn more. He's so appreciative," the 73-year-old said recently.

Following an appearance on the Late, Late Show with James Corden in April, where he cooked steak and potatoes, the budding cook was panned.

Brooklyn was also mocked after an appearance on US Today Show last October, where he cooked a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich with pre-cooked meat, meaning he only had to assemble the dish.
