Aldi's top 100 products voting is back - with vouchers up for grabs

You know the joke. Q: How do you know when someone is an Aldi shopper? A: Don't worry, they'll tell you.

The joke is so common, it even features in the supermarket's own publications, so we know they know how vocal their fans are. Given the proliferation of online groups for Aldi fans (all sharing recipes, top tips and ripper buys), it should be music to their collective ears that voting for the top 100 Aldi products is back for 2021.

What this means is all those fans can share and vote for their favourite products. Not only does this give them a chance to rave about and support their cult items, as usual, but this time you can also have a shot at winning a share of $10,000 worth of prizes in the form of Aldi gift cards.

Sounds like there will be plenty of voting, because a prize is even better than a bargain.

Given I'm a huge fan of Aldi's spanakopita, perhaps I should join in. Shoppers are being asked to help spotlight products they love, and the voting is known as The People's Picks.

There are 10 categories, from The Barbeque Boss (bbq items) to The Lunchbox Legends (treats and snacks) or even The Time Lord (for easy dinners). But the focus isn't just on food — there's even sections for favourite beauty products and anything that helps your dollar go further.

With over 300,000 votes last year, Aldi is expecting the voting to be bigger than ever in 2021. Given what we know, we predict Aldi fan's will flock to win big.

Voting is open online now and will close at 11:59pm Sunday August 8th 2021. By submitting a pick, voters will automatically go into the draw to win a share of $10,000 worth of Aldi gift cards with 10 x $1000 gift cards in the competition.

Can't even imagine what I would buy with a $1,000 Aldi card, but I can tell you it will involve Choceur chocolates, frozen pastry goods and probably a whole lot of cheese.
