One of Australia's biggest fashion events is upon us.
The Melbourne Fashion Festival, which showcases Aussie designers over two weeks of runway shows, kicked off on Monday for the 30th year.
There were plenty of celebrity guests on Day 1, attending the first runway shows of 2026 – Joywear and Melbourne Noir – and activations by Lancôme, the festival's official beauty partner.

Her daughter Stella also made a stylish appearance at the Joywear show, opting for a very different colour palette for her outfit.
The model wore a beautiful semi-sheer red gown with patterned panels at the bust and waistline, and a skirt made of floor-length tassles.

"That's 30 years of championing local fashion, delighting festivalgoers with world-class events, defining our own brand of fashion as entertainment, and proving why Melbourne is the fashion capital," the event's website says.
