Unexpected colour trend emerges on Dally M red carpet
It was all white on the night, literally, for many of the women at the Dally M awards in Sydney on Wednesday.
An unexpected trend for white gowns emerged on the red carpet at The Cutaway in Barangaroo for NRL’s big night, embraced by players and partners alike.

Among the stars in white was the Roosters’ player Jessica Sergis, who went for a dramatic silhouette.
The athlete’s gown featured a very on-trend corseted bodice with a train, teamed with a semi-sheer lace skirt.
Sergis announced her engagement to fellow Rooster Tommy Talau just a few months ago... could this be a hint at her potential bridal style? Watch this space.

White was also the shade of choice for Mimi Bowell, who made her Dally M debut with Newcastle’s Kalyn Ponga.
The new couple hit the red days after they appeared to confirm their relationship with a video shared on social media.
For the outing, Bowell opted for a white column-style strapless gown with two trains that flowed down onto the red carpet.
The Imana Swim co-founder committed to an all-white look with a matching clutch bag.

NRLW player Shaylee Bent opted for a slinkier style with her white dress.
The 26-year-old Wests Tigers second-rower looked beautiful in a plunging halterneck, with her long blonde hair cascading down her back for full effect.

The look stood out even more as Bent posed alongside partner David Fifita of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, who wore a dapper all-black suit.
Cronulla Sharks co-captain Blayke Brailey’s partner Rebecca also opted for a white gown with a plunging cowl neckline.
The dress was made more dramatic courtesy of shoulder pads, and her dark hair contrasting across the front of the garment as she posed next to her tux-clad partner.

Meanwhile, Ashleigh Camenzuli, the fiancee of Penrith’s Isaah Yeo, went for a more whimsical white gown.
Camenzuli rocked a strapless lace down, with delicate floating sleeves and soft corset details in the bodice.

Roosters star Millie Elliott also made a case for the corset.
Walking the red carpet with her husband, fellow NRL star Adam Elliott, she shone under the lights in a white gown with a corseted bodice and sleek column skirt.

Today’s Taylor Hanes also contrasted with the red carpet in her lovely white gown.
