Chloe Pink has spoken out about how she navigates relentless online abuse, but revealed the trolling has come from people she knows.

Speaking on Hit Network's Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little on the Carrie & Tommy show, the partner of AFL player Toby Pink opened up about the online trolling and bullying she's faced since her wedding photos went viral.

"Is it true that you knew some of them?" Bickmore asked.

"Yep. Even this morning I saw a comment from a person, and I clicked on their profile… we have 60 mutual friends!" Pink replied.

Bickmore gasped and asked if Pink was able to confront any of them or "were they doing it anonymously?"

"A few people I have [confronted]," Pink said.

"Some of them do it on their public profile. One did it on his public profile, and he just doubled down. We grew up together and he just continued to double down. All of them surprised me…" she continued.

Others, she suggested, seem to feel a sense of ownership over her husband, a North Melbourne defender in the AFL, and react accordingly.

"I think it's not them attacking him, but they have this idea that he has to date a certain person. Attacking me is defending him," Pink explained.

Pink said that in the early months, the volume of comments left her overwhelmed and struggling to cope, describing that period as one where she simply didn't have the tools to deal with it.

"I feel really, really sad for me twelve months ago. I'm going to be frank, I was depressed," she said.

Support from Toby and professional help organised through the AFL system became a turning point, helping her build ways to manage the situation – even if the comments themselves never stopped.

She says she's now more desensitised to the noise, but still frustrated it continues.

"I've done a lot of work but I'm just furious that this is still happening."

Pink has recently been sharing snippets of her fertility journey.

"We're trying to have a baby and the comments are vile," she said.

"Comments then became, 'you're struggling to have a baby because you're fat'.

"How can you even bring infertility into this conversation?"

Now, her focus has broadened beyond her own experience, especially when it comes to the impact those comments can have on others reading them.

"I'm not just furious for myself it's not just me you're attacking, you're attacking so many other women," she said.

And while some have dismissed the situation as old news, Pink is clear that it's still happening – daily.

"I will continue to call it out because it's not OK. It needs to be spoken about," she said.

"I post my wedding photos and people say, 'You just want attention!'

"And even if I want attention, so be it! It doesn't matter. I can share what I want and it doesn't give you the authority to comment on it."
