Buzz Aldrin's fourth wife Anca Faur dies at 66 just two years after they got married
Buzz Aldrin's fourth wife Anca Faur has died. She was 66.
The couple were only married for two years before her passing, with the sad news shared in a statement on Facebook.
Faur died "peacefully" on Tuesday October 28, with her husband and son by her side, according to a statement shared by the Faur and Aldrin families.

"Dr. Anca Aldrin, wife of astronaut Buzz Aldrin, peacefully passed away last night with her husband and her son, Vlad Ghenciu by her side," read the family announcement.
"Mrs. Aldrin, an accomplished chemical engineer with a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, served as the treasurer for the California Hydrogen Business Council and as Executive Vice President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC."
A personal note from the retired astronaut was added to the tribute.
"I am so fortunate to have found and married the love of my life," said General Aldrin, 95.

"She brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly."
The news was shared by the retired astronaut's Facebook page, but there are no more details about her death at this time.
The couple met in December 2017, at a work event and started dating the following year in May 2018.
On Aldrin's 93rd birthday on January 20, 2023, they celebrated by tying the knot.
It was a small wedding ceremony in a park close to their home.
"It was a beautiful day," Aldrin told People last year of their low-key nuptials.
"We had decided on a private ceremony, as suitably intimate, just us and the stars in the sky."

Aldrin, who was the second person to walk on the moon, and Faur's marriage marked his fourth time down the aisle.
In 1954 he married Joan Archer, who he shares three children with: sons James and Andrew, as well as daughter Janice.
They got divorced in 1974, and he went on to marry second wife Beverly Van Zile in 1975 - their relationship ended after three years.
In 1985 Aldrin married again, to his third wife Lois Driggs Cannon. They were married for 24 years before they divorced in 2012.
Aldrin is best known for saluting the US flag on the surface of the Moon during the Apollo 11 lunar mission.
