Jaws dropped to the floor as the couple and guests realised it was Elijah Wood, the actor who played Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson's blockbuster triology, who had decided to make a surprise visit.
Both the bride and groom could be heard exclaiming, "Oh my god" as they noticed who it was.
The actor, followed by a small crew of camera operators to document the surprise, ran straight to the couple to greet them.

He shook their hands before posing for a photo with the couple in front of a yellow-doored Hobbit hole.
While everyone else at the wedding appeared to fit right into the fantasy land, Wood stood out simply wearing jeans and a rain jacket.
Jessica wore an ethereal wedding gown and the groom wore Hobbit-esc cropped brown trousers and a green vest.
Some guests wore capes, elf ears, and elf-like braids for the occasion.
"This is amazing and everyone is dresses as hobbits," he exclaimed.
All the guests burst into applause as Wood snapped some photos with the bride and groom.
The couple then had a brief conversation with Sharik, thanking Wood for coming.
Wood said goodbye and dashed away fom the ceremony as the crowd gave one final round of applause for the actor before wedding proceedings continued.

"You're getting married in The Shire and an unexpected guest crashes your wedding," Hobbiton Tours captioned the video.
Wood happened to be in town for the Armageddon Expo over the weekend along with co-star Andy Serkis, who played Gollum, when he decided to stop into the Hobbiton movie set in Matamata, New Zealand.
