British mum gets 'death stares' for grocery shopping in this outfit

A mum in the UK says she gets "death stares" for grocery shopping dressed in a tight black dress paired with red lips.

RaeKay Bennett, 24, a proud single mum to son Luca, says she is determined not to change who she is now that she is a parent.

She has shared her preferred grocery shopping outfit in a video shared to TikTok @raekaybennett. In it we see her dancing, along with the caption: "Me walking round Tesco on my weekly shop, dressed like this, pushing my baby, getting death stares off the 'can I speak to the manager' hair cut women."

"People expect you to stop being you once you have a baby... keep doing you! stunning," one of her followers commented.

She responded: "I totally agree !!! Suddenly you must dress like 'a mum' ty gorge."

Another wrote: "If not Tesco, where else?! Us single mamas don't get out much."

"I wore a dress the other day and got out of my car to put the pram up and you'd swear people have never seen a woman with baby wear a dress," another shared.

"That's queen vibes," added another.

One person added: "Why can't we normalise looking hot in shops in pretty dresses."

"Yes!!! You do you mama you look amazing! Hate the stigma that once your a mum you can't enjoy fashion and wear what you want. I love seeing mums," another agreed.

"I would be in awe as I walk past in my joggers with birds nest hair," one mum commented.

"I get this if I go shopping after Iv been to the gym, makes me feel awful," another said.

RaeKay has embraced single motherhood, sharing videos on her TikTok account about her experiences.

In an earlier video she spoke about coming out of her "people pleasing era", adding there have been "peaks and troughs" but she feels like she is "winning".
