Brisbane mum saves $300k with one simple shopping trick

A thrifty Brisbane mum has saved a whopping $300,000 by only ever shopping in second hand stores - and buying absolutely nothing new except underwear.

Instead of stepping out in expensive brand-new threads, stylish Hannah Klose spends her hard-earned cash on lavish holidays around the world with her husband Dan, 36, and daughter Josie, two.

The 36-year-old fashionista’s wardrobe is jam-packed full of stylish designer clothes and charming vintage garments that she’s sourced from thrift stores in every corner of the globe.

With all the money she’s saved, Hannah has been able to spend her cash on luxurious holidays around the world, pay off her mortgage and give money to different charities.

“My parents were always finding something at the dump to bring home,” Hannah recalled.

“It smelled so bad and was really embarrassing. I always thought oh god, I hope no one sees me.

“Our dining table cost $1 from the tip but they restored it beautifully and they still have it to this day.”

Now the fashionable mum-of-one has even imparted her knowledge to her adorable two-year-old Josie – who loves op-shopping just as much as her mum and jumps at the chance to score a bargain.

“Dan’s a very patient man but he has to set me a time limit if we go op-shopping together.
