A woman with "naturally" large breasts was left stunned after a fellow diner got up and moved tables at a restaurant simply because of her cleavage.

US podcaster Adrienne Airhart was enjoying her birthday dinner when she decided to take off her shawl, causing her to be publicly shamed by a lady sitting on another table for her chest size.

Airhart, aged in her 30s, said the woman complained her breasts were "distracting" and decided to move to another part of the restaurant.

"Tonight at my birthday dinner I took off my shawl and the lady at the next table said, 'Well those are distracting' and moved tables. Still got it!" Airhart tweeted, sparking a now-viral thread.

She went on to claim the woman was "prejudice against big naturals" and shared a video of her outfit from the evening.

"This was me last night. I'm not even that hot the lady was just a hater," Airhart wrote, alongside a clip of herself with a birthday dessert.

"Though her date did talk to me when she went to the bathroom…you can hear him."

In the video, Airhart can be seen happily accepting a plate of dessert while wearing an orange top with ample cleavage.

Airhart's tweet received over 34,000 likes and dozens of replies from women with similar stories.

"I feel ya. Mine are ginormous & natural. Once a woman made her husband switch seats during intermission at the theatre because he was too chatty with me & his eyes lingered a little to long on my cleavage," one woman wrote.

Another added: "I'll never forget when I was on work experience at 15 years old and the lady I was 'working' for wrote in my evaluation that I dressed inappropriately. I didn't, I was wearing exactly what they had told me to wear. I simply had breasts."

Meanwhile, Airhart's anecdote appeared to strike the wrong chord with some Twitter users, who chose to write cruel messages about her appearance.

"Me: I'm not that hot Them: yes you are! Wow," she wrote in a follow-up tweet, pointing out the irony of the trolling.

"Me: ok maybe I'm hot Them: F--- you, arrogant old hag! (Is a joke. Thank you for compliments and negs — keeps me humble)."

Airhart's experience of being shamed for her natural body comes after a model was asked to "cover up" at theme park in Florida because she wore a crop top.

Model Whitney Paige Venable said she was left feeling "humiliated and embarrassed" when staff at Universal Studios said her clothing choice was making people "uncomfortable".
