Woman accidentally backs into bedframe, sparks hysterical TikTok trend

At its best, TikTok is a wonderfully weird place – and there's no better proof than the platform's latest phenomenon.

The trend was unwittingly kicked off by @kateylorrell, whose attempt to show off her outfit took a painful turn.

As she backed away from her phone her hip caught a sharp corner on her bedframe, prompting her to let out a high-pitched (and strangely melodic) yelp.

"Just trying to show my fit off but the good lord had other plans," she wrote.

The resulting audio was irresistible to fellow TikTokers, who quickly set about using Katey's yelp as the basis of musical performances and mini skits.

Many of the 'duets' see the sound incorporated into songs, from the Bee Gees' 'Stayin' Alive' to Diana Ross' 'I'm Coming Out' and Nelly's 'Dilemma', while others dusted off their musical instruments.

And, well, you know a TikTok trend is one for the ages when the likes of Michael Buble get involved.

The Canadian singer chimed in, using the sound as the beginning of his hit 'I Just Haven't Met You Yet'.
