Meet the boy with a foot that won't stop growing who has visited '1,000 doctors' to find a cure on Body Bizarre
Growing pains can be normal part of life, but for young Vedant whose foot won't stop growing, the phrase is taken to a new extreme.
Vedant is a young boy from Gujurat, India, whose right leg and foot have enormously overgrown due to a rare condition in an episode of Body Bizarre.
In the series – which you can watch for free on 9Now – Vedant, who was seven at the time of filming, joined his father on a 2,000km journey in the hopes of finding a cure.

"My leg is a little big," said Vedant to cameras. "More than 1,000 doctors have come to meet me. The doctor is going to cure my leg."

The doctor in question is Dr Raja Sabapathy, one of the world's leading experts in reconstructive microsurgery.
Dr Sabapathy had only seen photos of Vedant's leg, but upon their visit he could work to establish how excessive it has grown.

"There is a difference of about 18 centimetres between the left side and the right side," said Dr Sabapathy after Vedant's initial examination.
To put this into perspective, most leg length discrepancies sit under two centimetres.
"For a child of this age, 18 centimetres is a huge amount," Dr Sabapanthy added.

At such a size, Vedant can only lift his right leg slightly. But as the leg gets bigger and heavier, doctors are concerned with how the rest of his body will compensate.
"He is compensating by flexing his hips, flexing his knee and making compensating movements in his spine," explained Dr Sabapathy.

Vedant is sent for a series of X-rays and MRI scans so they can asses what treatment may be viable.
The goal is to stop Vedant's leg from growing and ultimately, reduce the mass of his foot.

Vedant is not going to let his unusual condition stop him, but his dad said: "My only hope for the future is that Vedant is cured".
