'Can I live with you?' Girlfriend furious after partner's ex makes wild demand
Matt and Chelsea are high school sweethearts who are living together.
But it's not as simple and sweet as it seems: they're actually no longer together romantically, and also living with Matt's new partner, Kenzie.

Matt said he regularly tried to diffuse tense situations with humour, but when the former couple reminisced about the 'good old days' during a day by the pool, his attempts at laughs were not appreciated by his partner Kenzie.

"Sometimes I can deal with Matt's humour but it ain't working today. Matt keeps up these jokes and him and Chelsea are both going to be looking for a place to live at the end of the day," she reacted.

The couple argued about the closeness of Matt and his ex, even as Chelsea sat right next to them, after he had given his ex a compliment about her bathing suit.
"I'm just mad about expectations that are still expected even to this day. Like, 'oh I have no where to live, can I live with you?'" Kenzie explained.

"I mean, let's not act like she's not sitting right next to you. I wanted to help her..." he replied.

Kenzie then declared herself done, storming off and leaving the exes sitting alone.
"Whatever," a frustrated Matt reacted.
Matt and Chelsea dated on-and-off for four years before Matt met Kenzie, who he has been dating for three years. When Chelsea found herself without a place to live, her ex invited her under their roof until she found her feet.

Kenzie was less than impressed, but agreed to the arrangement and hoped it would not last too long.
"He told me how dire of a need she was in. She literally has no where to go, we can't just let her live out on the street or out of a storage unit so it was like, let me be a good person and a good friend to Chelsea," Kenzie explained.
