The Netherlands introduces itself to Trump in Trumpish promo-video

Everyone's banging on about Donald Trump's presidency like it's the end times, so it's refreshing to see someone being positive about the whole thing.

And if a nation is going to see the up side of President Trump, it's going to be a country containing the city widely-considered as the marijuana capital of the planet.

That's right, The Netherlands is really, really excited about the billionaire taking power and its people didn't hesitate in extending a warm handshake of friendship to Trump, who is super busy making America great.

But because the native tongue in The Netherlands is Dutch, the people at Sunday With Lubach decided to welcome Trump in his own language.

Which is like English, but with some really great tweaks.

The show, which is kind of like a Dutch version of The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (which is like an Australian Last Week Tonight with John Oliver) is hosted by Arjen Lubach.

Lubach introduces the segment by translating Trump's message on his inauguration about putting "America first" to, "I will screw you over big time".

No official word from the Whitehouse yet over whether the tongue-in-cheek welcome was received, but it seems many others have heard it, with more than one million views of the video since it was uploaded two days ago.

And the welcome resonated with a lot of people.

"I'm German and I can confirm that our language isn't real. Its fake. All of Germany is fake. Europe is Dutch. Everyone just acts like it's not so that non-European countries won't feel threatened’," YouTuber EverSoTardis says.

"The views on this video are gonna be HUUUGE! ," Roger Metheny says.

Now we just play the waiting game until Trump addresses this video via Twitter.
