Travel back in time to a stunning 19-Century setting. Nine
Our heroine is met by her own personal guide, Mr. Edwards. "Are you ready to find the one?" he asks a nervous Nicole. He then passes her sixteen letters from her sixteen dashing suitors – who we meet in this episode.
Among the men in tights, we have songwriters, personal trainers, and models (all very 19th-century jobs, of course).
Can our suitors learn the Regency rules? Nine
The men do everything they can to fit the part – write in calligraphy, learn to waltz and learn the Regency rules of courting – and they almost pull it off.
But the biggest task is to make the best first impression, and there's only one way to introduce our dear lady to her new guests... Through a grand ball!
Get your dance cards ready, for by the end of this episode, three men will go home.
Spoiler alert – one man is "glad", one is left in utter denial, and in true Jane Austen style, one is left in tears.
Who's romantic dream will live on, and who will be leaving in a carriage? Nine
But let's rewind.
In the series' teaser, we're treated to a string version of Taylor Swift's 'Love Story' that perfectly sets the scene.
There's no shortage of string music as we enter the ballroom. Ms. Remy is introduced to her sixteen nervous suitors. She then chooses one for a single date.
Cue the fireworks, and maybe a first kiss?

As the series fires up, so does the romance, because it seems Ms. Remy has her eyes on more than one.
It will take more than gifts to win the heart of Ms. Remy. Nine
"It's scary feeling feelings for multiple people, but it's starting to happen," she said.
To quote Pride and Prejudice, "We are all fools in love".
There will be tears, heartbreak, hook-ups and more – confirming that this, dear reader, is far from an average fairytale. But we can't wait to see how this tale unfolds.
As our narrator so brilliantly confirms, "Dating in the 2020s is hard. It turns out, dating in the 1820s, that was bloody difficult."
Let the courting begin!
