Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles played the hero characters in the long-running series.
The show's brothers Sam and Dean Winchester were the pivotal characters behind the stories.
Jared and Jensen were the only actors who starred in every single episode of the 15 seasons, which started in September 2005 and finished in November 2020.
That is a whopping 327 episodes... and a lot of lines to remember!

In June 2024, Jensen announced some very exciting news regarding his next career move.
The actor confirmed he will be returning to screens as the lead role in new action-thriller series Countdown.
An investigation series of a different kind, the show follows LAPD officer Mark Meachum (played by Jensen) and a secret task force uncovering the truth behind a suspicious murder.
The reported 13-episode series however faces a sinister plot twist in a fight to save a city of millions, according to Variety.
"Go time. 😎," Jensen captioned the announcement on Instagram. Here, he's pictured with wife Danneel Ackles.
Friends and fans went wild over the news with one commenting: "LET'S GO JENSEN!! 👏🔥 So stoked for you!! 🎬."
"I'M SO EXCITED!!! 🤩💚," said another.
"F--k i thought we got the announcement for the new BATMAN😵💫😂," said one eager fan in a comment that amassed close to 2,000 likes.
While a fourth added: "So excited for you!! I'm not gonna lie, I got super excited when I read that you're going to be in a new show!"

Jared continues to reflect happily on his time filming and strong friendship with on-air brother, Jensen Ackles aka Dean Winchester.
The duo are more like brothers, and previously lived together before finding their partners and even have matching tattoos.
In this post on Instagram a year after filming finished, Jared shared a photo of the two on the last day on set.
"#FlashbackFriday to one year ago today… when I said goodbye to character, and a show, that i dearly loved (and, STILL love)… our last filming day of Supernatural.
"I will never be able to put into words what my time with #SamWinchester gave me. More importantly, I'll never be able to put into words what the relationships that were built STILL mean to me. I guess I'll stick to tried-and-true. Thank you. Miss y'all."

But the pair's friendship took a hit in 2021, when Jared learned via X (formerly Twitter) that Jensen was part of a proposed spin-off show about the brothers, called 'The Winchesters.'
Jared said he'd heard nothing of the project and was "gutted" about not being involved.
"Dude. Happy for you. Wish I heard about this some way other than Twitter. I'm excited to watch, but bummed that Sam Winchester had no involvement whatsoever," Jared wrote.
Hours later, both Jensen and Jared posted updates saying they had talked and resolved their issues.
"@JensenAckles and I had a great talk, as we do often, and things are good. The show is early in the process with miles to go. We've travelled a lot of roads together, and sometimes those damn roads have bumps. Bumps don't stop us. Once brothers, always brothers. #spnfamily
Jensen quickly responded. "Love you @jarpad … Miss these talks. I forgot how much face time we always used to get. And I miss that too. I know you're busy…as am I, but you're still my brother. I miss you, pal."
Eventually the show was picked up and cancelled after just one season. Jensen was the executive producer and narrator of the series.
Jensen posted himself reading a magazine emblazoned with the news of the show's debut, congratulating his friend and putting the argument to bed. "Way to go @jensenackles," he penned.

As Jared headed off to his last ever day of shooting Supernatural, he posted a sentimental message to fans (along with this selfie) on his Instagram.
"As I head out to the first day on my LAST season finale, I can't help but be incredibly grateful for all that #Supernatural and the #SPNFamily mean to me.
"It's been an incredible journey, to say the least. I, for one, am hoping that #SupernaturalNeverDies."

Jared has the ultimate souvenir from the set, however... his wife!
He married his Supernatual co-star Genevieve Cortese in 2010, after the pair met on set while filming Season 4.
Jared calls her his 'partner-in-crime' and Genevieve has since changed her name to Genevieve Padalecki, adopting her husband's surname.
The pair have three children, sons Thomas and Shepherd and daughter Odette.

Over the last few years, Jared has enjoyed spending time bonding with his young family and posting gushing tributes to his wife, Walker and Supernatural co-star and "best friend", Gen.
Yep, not only did Gen star alongside Jared on Supernatural, she has a role on Walker too.
And it's none other than as Jared's wife, Emily.
They often share candid updates into their family life, including catching head lice from their kids!
The two recently passionately supported the SAG strikes, campaigning for updated pay rates.

Right now, Jared continues to play the iconic role of Walker in the series of the same name. He also serves as executive producer.
The fourth season was put on hold during the SAG strikes, but is believed to have recently resumed filming.
"I'm so excited and grateful to continue the Walker legacy for another season," Jared said when it was re-signed. "We can't wait to make Season 4 bigger and better than ever and to lasso even more fans into the Walker family. Let's ride!"
"I'm so proud of the show, so honored to be a part of it, and so humbled and grateful for the new friends and family I've made over the last 3 years. Love y'all.," Jared wrote after Season 3 finished up.

Jared is also a staunch advocate for mental health, and has shared his own struggles with depression in the past.
He has raised money and awareness of mental health through his 'Always Keep Fighting' initiative, which supports people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
At a San Diego Comic-Con convention, thousands of fans surprised Jared by holding up candles in tribute to him, after he opened up about bis battle with depression. Proving that Supernatural fans are pretty darn special.
