She crafted every single piece she wore on the show, dedicating 3.5 weeks to non-stop sewing. "I have a lot of trust issues," she admitted with a laugh. "I couldn't let anyone else ruin my costumes. I needed to have all the control."

Her hard work paid off when she clinched a win in the sewing challenge which she calls an undeniable highlight of her time on the show.
"Winning that challenge was such an iconic moment for me," Mandy said.
"Hearing Michelle [Visage] say, 'Congratulations to the winner this week' –nothing will ever top that."
"Honestly, there weren't any low points," she added.
"The whole season just felt like hanging out with the girls. Even when I had to lip-sync, I thought, 'It's not my first time. Let's have a bit of fun.'"
One of Mandy's most talked-about looks was her liquorice-inspired dessert ensemble.
"Yes, Lazy Susan, it is a dessert look despite what you think, you hateful b---h," she joked.
"The paneling work with that PVC fabric was horrendous, but the result speaks for itself."

As the first drag artist to be crowned Leather Boy Queensland in 2018, Mandy's influence extends beyond the world of drag.
Dubbed the "Mother Pig of Brisbane," she's embraced her title as a beacon of the city's underground leather community. "It's become such a strong part of my branding," she explained. "Don… looking at you. Don is good."
For Mandy, reaching the Top 3 was the fulfillment of a dream.
"You get cast on Drag Race and have this list of goals: make Top 4, win a challenge, do OK at Snatch Game…and in some sick way, I kind of wanted to lip-sync too," she said.
"It really builds your confidence. You realise, 'You are a good performer. You know what you're doing.'"
As Mandy looks to the future, she's ready for a well-deserved break.
"I'd love a holiday," she laughed.
