Your wedding is often thought to be the biggest day of your life, and also the most expensive.

But not if you're Brittney Watson, a 23-year-old bride whose mum Shelley (aka "the Princess of Cheap") managed to pull off the entire celebration for just $750.

It's not the first time Shelley had thrown a budget wedding, as years earlier she hosted a wedding for her eldest daughter Ashley at a local basketball court for $1000.

When it came to Brittney and partner Shane's nuptials, guests were shocked by some of the lengths mum Shelley went to to keep costs down.

The wedding was held in the local chiropractor's office – not the best for romantic ambiance, but certainly a win when the venue hire is free!

Bride Brittney had no idea what her mum Shelley had in store for her wedding.  9Now

Brittney walked down the aisle (the office corridor) before she reached the altar (the waiting room) to meet her handsome groom Shane.

The mood was set with toilet paper decorations and a student mariachi band who volunteered for the occasion and the beautiful bride wore her older sister's wedding dress.

When it comes to being cheap, Shelley insisted that being creative is key.... and when it came time for the outdoor reception, guests were stunned by the creativity on display.

The party continued in the chiropractor's parking lot under marquees borrowed from local businesses.

Shelley thought outside the box by using spray painted tumbleweeds as décor and rocks as place cards.

When it came to the menu, guests could only describe the offerings as "interesting".

Shelley self-catered the event and hit the jackpot when she found a deal at the local supermarket – eight cucumbers for just one dollar!

"The variety of the food was just crazy. Between the cucumber water, cucumber sandwiches and cucumber boats it was hard to choose," one guest jested.

"The cucumber sandwiches were great! They were way better than the cheese sandwiches at my wedding," older sister Ashley said.

So true Ashley! At least the cucumber sandwiches are vegan-friendly!

Shelley offered guests more than just cucumber, as there was also a repurposed bachelorette party penis cake for dessert too.

Despite what some guests thought of the scaled back celebration, bride Brittney was on top of the world.

"Everything is so gorgeous. I didn't expect mum to pull this off on a budget of $750 but she did and it looks so good!" Brittney beamed.
