Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence reveals reboot of the iconic series could happen in 'six months to a year'

Grab your stethoscopes, because Scrubs could be returning to our screens very soon.

The medical sitcom originally ran from 2001 to 2010, and even 14 years after the season finale people around the globe still flock to re-watch every episode – and you can do exactly that on Stan.

Soon, there may even be new episodes you can queue up as well.

That is according to show creator Bill Lawrence, who has teased the cast may come together for a reboot in "six months to a year".

"We've been talking about it," he told The Independent. "We've really started to entertain the idea about getting the band back together because we all feel like we do have some stories to tell.

"People in the medical community are heroes right now. They certainly aren't doing it for the money! It's been a crazy rough time, so I would not be surprised if we figure something out in the next six months to a year."

He also said a reunion would not be in the form of a film, saying it would be "a lot of work."

Scrubs, which starred Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, followed the lives of employees at fictional California teaching hospital Sacred Heart.

In 2020, Braff and Faison – who played the iconic duo JD and Turk – launched a podcast called Fake Doctors Real Friends, where they re-watch every episode and give a full recap.

It's safe to say the world is still Scrubs obsessed – so a reunion cannot come soon enough!
