'My worst nightmare': Mother slams bride for 'awful' princess-themed wedding dress on Say Yes To The Dress: Lancashire

Jade's love for Beauty and the Beast left her with one "dream" – a huge princess gown and a fairytale wedding.

The only problem is, Jade's dream is her mum's "worst nightmare".

In a recent episode of Say Yes To The Dress: Lancashire – which you can watch for free on 9Now– bride-to-be Jade was on the hunt for something very specific.

"So obviously Belle is in a big, puffy yellow dress," she explained to bridal expert Gok Wan.

While Jade had a Belle-inspired dress in mind, her mum Heather was already concerned.

"Jade's been in love with Disney, particularly, from being a really, really small girl. But I just don't want her to look like a big meringue on her wedding day," she told cameras.

Jade continued, "I'm thinking something off the shoulder to take that from [Belle]."

Her mum jumped in.

"That's my worst nightmare, Beauty and the Beast, Disney Princess... no, please," she laughed.

Gok had his work cut out for him.

"Jade's never going to say yes to a dress that her mum doesn't like," he said. "Fingers crossed I can conjure up some magic so everyone can live happily ever after."

With a touch of magic he picked out a blush dress with all the "princess details".

"Wow, I don't know what to say," said the beaming bride.

Her mum Heather had a lot to say...

"The only thing I like about that is the tiara. I think it's awful," she said.

"Belle would not go near that dress at all, she would throw it out the castle window."

Definitely not the reaction Jade hoped for.

"When mum made the comments that she did, that just reinforced it wasn't the right dress for me," confessed Jade to cameras.
